My sentiments exactly.
Life is a roller coaster, filled with twists and turns, it is one ride that needs no tickets but it won’t allow you to get off your seat too. Ups and downs, slows and accelerates, thrills and joy, these are the things that make living an eventful endeavor so while you’re at it, make sure to enjoy the ride.
I am not that much of a party-goer (and not an American either) but this makes me dance even while I’m sitting. In commemoration to US’ Independence Day celebration, this is what every 4th of July party and other party playlists as well must be.
For everyone in America, summer is the time to hit the beaches. Already we are seeing even celebrities trooping to the nearest beach they can find, flaunting rock-hard bodies in their tiny bikinis. This, of course, is one of the primary reasons why many flock to the beaches in the summer. Babe-watching is essentially a summer activity on the beach, right up there with surfing, beach volleyball, waterskiing and kayaking.
For me, however, summers are not really meant for the beach. After all, I live in a place where the nearest beach is a couple of hundred miles away. Maybe when I can afford it I’ll jump on a plane to Hawaii or something and enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful beaches there. For now, my summers are dedicated to exploring the outdoors whether through mountain climbing, camping or hiking. Now that I have my own family, camping is what we often to do during summers.
I think you may call mine a habit, because this is what I and my family have been doing for as long as we can remember. Every summer when school is out, I take my kids camping in the woods that are just a mile away from our home. I don’t need to tell you how great camping is for a little bonding time with your family. When in the woods with your spouse and your kids, you have all the time in the world to talk, play, cook, swim in a lake and explore the wilderness together.
If you are thinking about doing the same thing with your family, you have to be properly equipped for it. You don’t just go exploring nature with the barest of equipment, not when you have your entire family with you. If you’re really interested in making camping a regular thing, you need to have all the equipment you may need. You need to have the usual stuff like tents, jackets, butane stoves, ropes, a compass, flashlights and waterproof backpacks. Aside from these, you also need to pack every single waterproof backpack in your party with all the provisions you are going to need, including food, drinking water, extra clothes and first aid kits.
Believe me, there are very few things in life that are just as fulfilling as taking your entire family camping. Instead of just staying indoors and watching TV the entire summer, take your family camping and see how it would work out for you.
